he Remptorist Renewal Center offers on-site professional massage therapy. Retreatants should schedule appointments through our front office, and walk-ins are welcomed.

Massage Therapy:

herapy sessions usually last about one hour and include light, steady touch with broad, flowing strokes over the body. The therapist applies oil and/or lotion to the skin with basic Swedish massage techniques. Often gentle stretching and rocking are included in the treatment. Each client's body responds to touch with unique language. The massage therapist listens with her hands as the client relaxes and lets go of tension.

Massage helps cultivate deep relaxation in the body and allows one to be more attentive to the voice of God; invites a sense of well being, renewed energy and mental clarity; relieves chronic muscle tension; strengthens the body's resistance to disease by calming the nervous system and releasing tension in the muscles; improves circulation, joint flexibility and range of motion.
