irected Writing Retreats are primarily for authors who are working on manuscripts for publication, and more specifically, manuscripts concerning spirituality, theology, or catechetical topics. The necessary space, silence, and supportive atmosphere to enable the creative process are provided.

Authors meet each day for a determined period of time with Father Thomas M. Santa, former President and Publisher of Liguori Publications (1992-1999) to review manuscripts and form suitable proposals ready for review by a literary agent or acquisitions editor.

The suggested offering for this retreat experience is $95.00 per day.

Reservations require a three-step process:

1. Submission of a substantial sample of manuscript to Father Santa for review;

2. Determination of residency dates with the Program Director;

3. Confirmation of the dates chosen by Father Santa and the author.
